About Us

The North Texas Basketball Officials Association (NTBOA) is an organization based in Dallas – Fort Worth dedicated to providing the very best officials for basketball teams located in the DFW Metroplex. We service basketball referees for a wide range of school districts covering a large portion of Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Grayson, Rockwall and Wise counties. Our organization is a member of the Texas High School Basketball Officials Association (THSBOA), and is the second largest chapter of basketball officials in the State of Texas.

Our membership is recognized as a diverse group of individuals that excel in the field of officiating basketball. While our local organization supplies referees for High School and Middle School teams primarily located in the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex, our membership and leadership also includes officials that currently work or previously have worked games at the small college, major college, and professional levels.

The NTBOA is regarded as one of the very best at what we do, and we work hard every day to exceed the expectations of our partner schools. Our members share a love for the game of basketball, and our training and observation programs ensure that our officials are at the top of their game. Currently, we have approximately 500 referees in our chapter.
